West Scarborough: Victoria Park to Kennedy
West Scarborough has the most storefronts within walking distance, on Eglinton East, in the Lawrence East plazas and near Kennedy station, plus the shortest commute downtown through the Kennedy interchange.
Oakridge is the southwest edge at Danforth and Victoria Park: a lender or two on Danforth, Victoria Park station, and downtown office, hospitality and TTC shift pay.
Birch Cliff and Cliffside run along Kingston Road on the bluffs: a few counters near Warden and near Midland, the 12 bus, and a westward commute into the city.
Clairlea and Golden Mile are the Eglinton big box strip under LRT construction: counters in the plazas near Warden and Birchmount, Warden station, retail and dealership pay.
Kennedy Park is the Kennedy and Eglinton interchange: storefronts in the plazas near the station and along Eglinton East, biweekly retail and warehouse cheques.
Wexford and Maryvale are the Lawrence East plazas near Warden and Pharmacy and the Warden and Ellesmere industrial belt: weekly or biweekly plant shift pay.
Dorset Park is the Kennedy and Lawrence corner and the Kennedy Road auto strip: counters in the Kennedy and Lawrence plazas, car repair as the usual reason to borrow.
Central Scarborough: Kennedy to Markham Road
Central Scarborough holds the biggest employers, Scarborough Town Centre and the General hospital site, the busiest plazas on Lawrence near McCowan and Markham Road, and the bus terminal every route passes through.
Bendale and Scarborough City Centre are the mall, the civic centre and the General: no lender in the mall, counters on Lawrence near McCowan, and a terminal one transfer from anywhere.
Woburn is the tower district along Markham Road and Lawrence with one of the highest renter shares in Scarborough: counters at Lawrence and Markham Road, loans that bridge a cheque to rent day.
Scarborough Village sits between two storefront corners, Kingston Road at Markham Road and the Eglinton East plazas, with Eglinton GO and biweekly shift pay.
Cliffcrest is the bluffs between Midland and Brimley: a single counter near the Cliffcrest plaza at Kingston and McCowan, the 12 bus west to work.
North Scarborough: the 401 to Steeles
North Scarborough above the 401 has no storefront cluster, only a few counters on Sheppard and one or two on Finch, so online e-transfer is the practical route; the Stouffville GO line carries the commute.
Agincourt is Sheppard and Kennedy out to Brimley: a few Sheppard counters, Agincourt GO, and restaurant and small business pay that is often weekly with tips in cash.
Tam O'Shanter and Sullivan are Warden to Kennedy from Sheppard to Finch: a few Sheppard counters, pay set by rotations at the Birchmount hospital site and the care homes near it.
L'Amoreaux and Steeles are the northwest corner up to the Markham border: one or two counters in the Finch plazas, long bus rides to rail, jobs on both sides of Steeles.
Milliken is the northeast corner along Steeles: no storefront strip at all, Milliken GO, and weekly warehouse pay along Milliken Boulevard and Tapscott.
East Scarborough: Markham Road to the Rouge
East Scarborough is the largest side: Kingston Road east of Morningside carries one of the densest storefront strips in the city while Malvern, Morningside Heights, Highland Creek and Port Union have none, so online wins here.
West Hill is Kingston Road at Morningside and at Lawrence, the densest strip in Scarborough: the Centenary hospital and the university campus as employers, the 86 and 116 buses.
Guildwood is the quiet streets south of Kingston Road with no main street: Guildwood GO with 25 minute trains to Union, and office pay that gives the loan up to 16 days.
Malvern is north of the 401 around Neilson and McLevin: almost no storefronts inside it, no rail, weekly warehouse pay along Tapscott beside biweekly hospital work.
Morningside Heights is the newest subdivision, north of Finch to Steeles: no commercial main street, drivers on the 401 and 407, logistics pay from Steeles, Markham and Pickering.
Highland Creek and Rouge are the far east around the campuses: no counters past Morningside, Rouge Hill GO, and small student loans timed to the term.
Port Union and Centennial are the southeast corner down to the lake: one plaza and no lender, Rouge Hill GO, commuters to Union and to Pickering employers.

Does my neighbourhood affect whether I am approved?
No. Approval rests on employment income landing in an active chequing account, the same test everywhere. What changes by area is the typical pay cycle, which sets the loan size and the due date, not the answer.
