Privacy on Payday Loans Scarborough

This site collects almost nothing. It has no forms, no accounts, no analytics scripts and no advertising cookies. The loan application lives on a separate platform with its own privacy policy, which you see before you enter anything. This page explains what this site does and does not see, and what happens when you click apply.

What this site collects

Nothing that identifies you. The pages are static files served by a content delivery network. That network records the same server logs any website host keeps, such as the time of a request and a truncated address, and uses them to keep the site online and to block abuse. We do not run analytics, tracking pixels, or third party scripts on any page, so no advertiser learns you were here.

The "serving" line at the top of the page

The line near the top of the homepage that names a city is filled in by the delivery network from the general region your connection comes from. It is written into the page as it is served, nothing is stored, and it is only there so the page can say where the reader is instead of "all of Canada." If the network cannot tell, the line stays generic.

What happens when you click apply

The apply button sends you to the application platform we work with. The link carries a code that tells the platform which site you came from, so the referral fee can be paid if a loan funds. It carries nothing about you. This site sends no referrer information to the platform, and the platform's own privacy policy governs everything you enter from that point on, including your banking connection and the sharing of your application with licensed lenders.

If you email us

We keep your message as long as it takes to answer it and fix whatever you raised, and we do not add you to any list. Please do not send account numbers, identification, or loan agreements; we cannot act on them and would rather not hold them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Your browser may keep a cached copy of the pages and images so they load faster on a return visit; that is standard browser behaviour and lives on your device.

The law that applies

The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act governs the collection of personal information by commercial organizations in Ontario, and the guidance published by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada covers what a lender may ask a borrower for. Questions about this page can go to the address on the contact page. For what the site is and how it earns money, see about us.

How Payday Loans Scarborough makes money: paydayloansscarborough.ca is a free loan connection service, not a lender. When you apply, we match your application with licensed Canadian lenders and earn a referral fee from the lender if your loan funds. This never changes your rate or costs you anything. We do not make credit decisions and never charge borrowers. Cost examples: a $300 payday loan for 14 days at $14 per $100 costs $42 in fees ($342 total, about 365% APR); payday fees are capped at $14 per $100 in every province except Quebec, to a $1500 maximum. Personal installment loans range 18% to 35% APR over 3 to 60 months. All lending is subject to lender approval and provincial rules.
